There were two important points at this year's EIMA 2024 exhibition held in Bologna, Italy.
1- The display of new-generation smart Agri-machines and tractors useful for developing agriculture in high- or middle-income countries.
2- The display of Agricultural types of machinery from the countries that have just entered the international agricultural machinery markets and are seeking to gain a share of global markets.
3- The absence of low-income or less-developed countries in the exhibition. They do not have the opportunity to use new-generation agricultural machines and technology.
Over half of the world's people live in underdeveloped or low-income countries. They cannot access the benefits from the facilities of visiting, purchasing, or participating in the exhibition.
Visiting the Eima exhibition can be analyzed from two perspectives.
First: The significant technological progress in the design and manufacture of machinery, increasing its efficiency, reducing production costs, and reducing the need for manpower.
Second: More than half of the world's farmers cannot afford to buy advanced machinery or new-generation technology and are forced to continue operating with old-generation types of machinery.
On the last day of the Eima exhibition, I thought that if rich and developed countries provided financial or technical support to farmers in low-income or under-developing countries, the pace of Agri-Development in the agricultural sector would accelerate.
